Mcrae Chinhamu is a highly accomplished Zimbabwean martial arts tricker, dancer, and professional stunt performer based in Cape Town. Widely celebrated for his gravity-defying aerial mechanics and kinetic precision, Chinhamu is an active performance athlete with the Sabotage Elite action collective, collaborating with the region’s top traceurs and cinematic stunt professionals, while also leading his own action design initiative know as Shinobi Action Team.
Chinhamu’s breakthrough into professional physical performance began in 2021 when his raw acrobatic and dance talents were scouted by veteran South African stunt coordinator Grant Powell. In 2023, he solidified his status as the premier extreme martial arts athlete in the country by winning the prominent national tricking competition, The Tournament of Power 2, officially earning the title of the best tricker in South Africa.
His exceptional command over spatial awareness and explosive movements facilitated a seamless transition into international film and television networks. Chinhamu has served as a core stunt performer on Netflix’s widely acclaimed live-action adaptation of One Piece, contributing technical stunt execution across the series. His comprehensive stunt credentials feature high-stakes action sequences across major global projects, including the historical epic The Woman King (2022), the biographical drama Hammarskjöld (2023), the political thriller G20 (2025), and utility stunt pre-visualisation design for the historical action drama King Shaka.
