Shaun Verth is an elite South African stunt performer, fight choreographer, and movement athlete based in Cape Town. Renowned for his explosive combination of parkour and cinematic martial arts, Verth is a core member of Sabotage Elite, the prominent South African action and movement collective.
Verth began his athletic journey in parkour and freerunning at the age of 16, developing an agile, gravity-defying movement style that quickly caught the attention of the film industry. Over more than a decade in the business, he has established himself as a highly sought-after international talent across Hollywood, Bollywood, and global streaming networks.
Verth is a key contributor to Netflix’s hit live-action series One Piece, serving as a core stunt team member, performing in key combat sequences as Captain Smoker, and designing fight pre-visualisations. His expansive Hollywood filmography includes stunt work on major blockbusters such as Maze Runner: The Death Cure, Tom Cruise’s The Mummy, and the critically acclaimed martial arts drama series Warrior.
An international asset, Verth frequently lends his talents to major Bollywood productions, notably serving as the high-stakes action stunt double for superstar Salman Khan in the action blockbuster Tiger 3, as well as performing in Shamshera.
Known for pushing physical boundaries, Verth is also an official Guinness World Record holder as part of a historic, consecutive multi-person full-body fire burn stunt. He continues to elevate South Africa’s global action profile, most recently co-choreographing and starring in the independent action project No Signs (2026).
