Average Joe returns, this time with action set in Cape Town.
Season 2 of the Paramount+ action-comedy thriller debuted worldwide on 19 August 2026. The first two episodes were released on launch day, and new episodes come out every Wednesday. The eight-episode season follows Joe Washington and his crew from Pittsburgh to South Africa, where a new threat forces them into another high-stakes battle for survival.
For Sabotage Elite Action Lab, the release also brings a proud screen credit for two team members: Kundai Murapa and Mcrae Chinhamu, who appear in stunt-acting roles in the new season.
THE ACTION MOVES TO CAPE TOWN
Created by Robb Cullen and starring Deon Cole as Joe Washington, Average Joe mixes crime, dark humor and action around an ordinary man who keeps finding himself in extraordinary situations. Season 2 takes that premise global, bringing Joe, Leon, Cathy, and Touch to Cape Town after a threat linked to Joe’s past endangers his family.
The South African setting is more than a backdrop. Cape Town becomes a key part of the season’s scale and identity, allowing for bigger action sequences and a strong local production presence.
